I have found from experience that most young children love spending time cooking and baking.  I have a &lt;A HREF="http://joyofdesserts.blogspot.com/2009/04/mrs-cs-1st-grade-hot-fudge-upside-down.html" REL="nofollow"&gt;children's chocolate cake&lt;/A&gt; in the chocolate roundup.  It couldn't possibly be easier to make.  You should try it. It is a constant struggle to get one-on-one time with each child- especially with three :)  I pray a lot for God to give me specific ways to connect with each one of my children each day.
