Willpower...

Recently I found the blog Your Homebased Mom. If you haven't been there yet, you MUST go and check it out...Immediately!

I am completely in love with all her recipes, photography, motivational thoughts and crafty ideas. I've already bookmarked several of her recipes to try out....like this one, oh and these ....mmmm and definitely this, and these and how could I forget all these! Yummy! I really could go on and on :)

We were expecting company last night for a visit after the kids went to bed, so yesterday afternoon I decided to try out her Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie. Oh My!
I think that the best part about this treat- besides how delicious it is (of course!) was how easy it was to make!

Unfortunately our company had to cancel because they weren't feeling well, (yucky flu going around) so now I have to really practice my self control and not eat the entire pie myself. I was a bad girl and had two pieces last night!
As a good defense I decided to package it up and put it in the freezer in an attempt to keep myself from getting into it today.....so far so good, although writing about it is making me want to go grab a piece.

But I won't.

No.

I won't!

:)

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
(www.yourhomebasedmom.com)

1/4 lb. butter (1 stick or cube), melted and cooled
1 C sugar
1/2 C flour
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 C walnuts or pecans, I left these out
1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
9″ unbaked pie shell

Mix all ingredients and pour into pie shell. Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees. It will still be nice and gooey. Serve warm or at warm temperature.
