The other night I went for coffee with some ladies from church. As we were settling in, the conversation drifted to what we had all ordered. I don't drink coffee, only because I just don't like the taste. Yuck! I always joke that I'm must not be a grown up yet :)
Whenever I'm out it is always a toss up between hot chocolate and peppermint tea.
So when it was my turn to share what I'd ordered I confessed this all to my friends.
Then I heard the most glorious sentence:
"You should try putting them together."
What?! Do my ears deceive me?
"Put the two together?" I excitedly asked.
"Ya" she said "All you have to do is make your hot chocolate and add a peppermint tea bag. It makes the most delicious Mint Hot Chocolate."
Pure genius, I tell you, PURE GENIUS! Why haven't I ever thought of this before??
I was more than excited to try this little trick at home, so the next day I made up a batch of Hot Chocolate using this recipe which, by the way, IS THE BEST RECIPE for hot chocolate EVER and added my tea bag.
( you can also cheat and use an instant package, like I did today because I was too lazy to make the good stuff....it's good too, but not as good as Sarah's recipe!)
Oh my WORD!
I am in love.
It is the true, lasting kind of love that will never fade.
I can't even explain it... you must go and make yourself a mug right now!
Especially if, like me, you are still looking outside at the over-abundance of snow and crying over the forecast that is promising another 10-30 centimeters of snow overnight.
I promise, this drink will make you feel better :)
