Oh the JOYS

This morning I awoke to my son running into our room saying:
"Uh Oh Mommy, 'Big Sister' did something very bad...she took off her dirty diaper and there's poo everywhere!"

Nothing will shoot me out of bed faster than the sentence "There's poo everywhere!"

I went running into her room and low and behold there was our princess, innocently standing there in her birthday suit with poo all over her hands and tummy saying: "Yuck." "Dirty." "Poo Poo."

Now, at least the scene before me was not half as bad as the one that had flashed in my head moments before. She had thankfully refrained from using her business as paint to make a masterpiece. There was just a small mess on the carpet.

So into the shower she went as the carpet got a real good scrubbin'.

*Huge Sigh*

Well folks, I think the time has come for our big girl to be enrolled in my potty training boot camp.

Stay tuned.....

  1. There's nothing quite like waking up to a mess like that...before you've even had a chance to collect your thoughts. I've been there too :)

  2. Oh no! I've had my fair share of poo disasters with my children, let me tell you... the worst is when you're changing a dirty diaper and baby squirms away at super fast speed before you're done the clean up! ;)

    Great blog, by the way!

  3. Definitely words that will propel me out of bed! So. Gross.

  5. oh yes, the joys of poo!

    Glad it wasn't a COMPLETE disaster :)

  6. funNY!
it happens to almost all of us.

i knew it was coming. i decided ahead of time i would laugh when it did.
(come to think of it there are a few things i know are still coming in parenthood, and should choose ahead of time to just laugh at).

i remember it, i walked in found emilie (now 9) painting with her "business." ick. her day will come.
muhahahahaha (cause she'll be a mommy someday).

Thanks so much for leaving your comments. I absolutely love hearing from you :)
