His Love Never Fails

(this one's for Aug 15th that I missed posting while on holidays!)

Have you ever seen a thunderstorm outside the city?
It's amazing.

Late last night as we drove home we watched the sky light up in brilliant colors of blue, orange and purple. It was absolutely breathtaking. I have never seen anything like it.
It felt like we were watching a glorious battle in the sky.
A 'dueling-piano-esque' type of battle. (Isn't God so COOL!)
One side of the sky would flash a brilliant orange and seconds later the other side would counter with a magnificent blue.

As our little mini-van drove down the dark highway I sat in awe of God's creation, and was completely overwhelmed. This past week we have been immersed in God's creation. The beauty is almost too much. I have spent hours outside trying to wrap my head around the thought of God's creativity. I mean, really, how many different types of leaves are there?? What was he thinking when he made these trees??

And, oh the wildflowers....
Our big girl absolutely fell in love with them.


The wildlife was incredible.
We saw tons of deer everyday.


Who can deny a creator when you see something like this???



As we drove last night and marveled at what our eyes were watching this song came on.



And I let the words just soak into my heart.
The God of the universe. The one who created all the beauty of this world- Loves me.
Little ol' me. Simple me.

It is His love that never fails. It is His love that never changes. No matter the circumstance. No matter my feelings. Even when I try to run away. His love never fails.

And He makes all things work together for my good.....

'And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.'
Romans 8:28

So, as I soaked up his love allowing the words of this song to penetrate my heart, and watched the glorious light show that felt like God had put on for me alone, I thanked Him for the new mercies that he lovingly pours over me everyday.
