I am so very proud of myself....
It is only the second week of September and I've already taken my first baby step towards my homemade gifts.
:)
This may have a little bit to do with the fact that I could literally live in a fabric store. I love it that much. I love it enough to bring two little girls (ages 1 and 2) on a weekly- ok, sometimes daily bases. Some might call that crazy, but I have a system of toys, snacks and a double stroller that allows me up to an hours peace to dive into all the yummy fabrics.
Today, I purchased some cool army fleece to make our little man a blanket:
Some tulle that will (hopefully) become a cute little tutu for one of the girls:
And some sweet flannel fabric that I plan to use in my first ever quilt. Eeek. I'm quite scared about this one, we shall see how it turns out :)
Now that I have the fabric, it's time to get busy making these gifts!
I think the biggest test, for me, will be whether or not I can stop myself from giving them to my kiddos before Christmas.... my son's birthday is in October.... I just might crack and give him his gift early!
