Looking Back

This past year has been amazing.
Full of changes.
Some exciting. Some sad. Some wonderful. Some hard to take.
Looking through all our pictures and reading through the last year of blog posts over the past week has been so much fun!

Some of these pictures made me laugh out loud, as I remembered the stories behind them.
Some of them made me want to cry as I see how much our little family has grown, even in the last 12 months.

One of the things I am most excited about accomplishing in the past year has been the discovery of my inner craftiness.
I remember as a little girl loving all things crafty,
and yet somehow over the years I had lost the desire for it.
That all changed this year.
I received my very first sewing machine from my lovely husband
and awesome Dad,
as an early birthday gift in July.
And I love it.
LOVE IT.
I love sewing, and 'modgepodging' and really, all things crafty and hope to continue to do even more in the next year!

One of my goals for 2010 is to tackle the land of quilting.
I already have an idea for my first quilt.... stay tuned.... :)

I am also very determined to learn how to knit/crochet. This has been on my "new years" list for a few years but I am quite determined that with a new decade comes a new slate.
I can WILL do it!

As I mentioned, I've spent quite a bit of time reading through my last year
of posts this past week.
Specifically the ones about my faith.
A lot has happened this last year.
I love the fact that I can look back and see just where my heart has been over the course of the year and I love the fact that I can see where God has moved me.
Where He's still growing me.

These are a few of my favorites over the year.
Each one reminding me of His goodness.
Of His love for me.

Hide and Seek

Looking back over the last year has been fun.
I love the fact that I have documented our family and my thoughts here on this blog and truly appreciate all the friendships I have made along the way.
Thank you for your encouragement, and for sharing in this journey with me.

Looking forward to 2010, I hope to spend more time....
Cuddling my kiddos and hubby!
Baking yummy treats in the kitchen.
Sitting at my sewing machine creating.
Curling up on the couch next to my hubby, knitting beautiful treasures.
Tackling the world of photography.
Opening my eyes to the everyday opportunities God has before me.

Happy 2010 everyone!
