Could it be that the summer is gone and my baby is officially joining the masses and heading out to school tomorrow?
My baby?
The one I would pace the halls with all night soothing him through his colic? The very boy I would scoop up into my arms anytime he had fallen and hurt himself? The child I cuddle with. The one I dance around the room with? The one I have tickle wars with?
My little guys starts KINDERGARTEN tomorrow.....will I make it through the morning without tears? Just the thought of it turns me into an emotional mess. Typically I pride myself on how I can keep my emotions under wraps, but when it comes to my kids I am a crazy roller coaster.
I blame the hormones.
In any case my little man is growing up before my very eyes. Tomorrow marks the day he really ventures out into the world of independence. While I am excited for him, I also want to grab him and hold him so tight to keep him from ever aging a day.....
I want to bottle up his innocence and keep him this carefree, energetic, sensitive, loving little boy forever!! He is so sweet and tender with his sisters. He is so easy with his affections for Chris and I. He is constantly telling us how much he loves us, always climbing onto us desperate for another hug. Man I love the kid!
I'm sure tomorrow will not disappoint and my emotions will be all over the map.....I'll be the one smiling proudly through my tears.......
