Some Smart Advice: Part 2

On Friday I wrote about the lovely surprise my one year old gave me.

I am happy to report that the stain is pretty well gone, well, except for now you can see a nice white spot, indicating just a hint of a stain. I like to call it our "mystery" stain. We know what it was but you'd never guess it by seeing it.

In my humble opinion a white "mystery" stain is much better than a dark purple nail polish stain.
Yes, that's right Denise, unfortunately for me it wasn't a sassy hot pink :)
(but your comment made me totally laugh out loud!)
Sadly, it was a super dark purple that I had gotten free in a gift bag...it was awful to get out. Awful.
So what did the trick??

After consulting my trusted friend google I used a mix of baking soda with water, nail polish remover (I know- crazy, but it totally worked!) carpet cleaner (which I think is the culprit of the nice white stain left on my carpet) and about an HOURS worth of elbow grease :)
Next time I think I'll skip the carpet cleaner...on second thought, hopefully there won't be a next time!

So there you have it. I am living proof that nail polish will come out of the carpet.

And yes, there is now a lock on our bathroom cabinets.

  1. We need locks on ours too. What kind of locks did you get? Glad the nail polish came out! I know who to call when it happens ... yes, I said when because if one of my 3 don't do it at some point I probably will! LOL

  4. you are HILARIOUS! your "trusted friend google", so funny.

on the bright side (again), you burned a ton of calories rubbing that stain out!

and on the other bright side (hehe, gotta take care of both sides) you have another "i remember when" story. it's always good to have a stash of those.
