Ten on Tuesday

1. Meet Fidget:

We have been looking after him this week while my parents-in-love have been in Mexico. Isn't he the cutest thing EVER?! He is the best little guy & so awesome with our kids. I {almost} want to keep him. Almost. If it weren't for my girls (mostly our three year old) constantly bugging him, I'm pretty sure I would refuse to return him.

He's an older pup- 14 years actually, so he is happy to just lay around all day, snuggle up next to you and sleep. My kinda dog. Unfortunately, my girls have had other plans for him this week. They would rather walk him around the house by his collar, dress him up like a princess, feed him from their plates and obsessively bug "pet" him..... I am looking forward to things getting back to normal around here where I don't have to be telling my girls every 2 seconds "leave that poor dog alone!"

2. Sunday morning was spent in the kitchen baking 11 dozen of these Triple Chocolate Sour Cream Brownie Bites for my cookie exchange. Whew.

I decided to go with a recipe that I adore and one that is super easy to make a LOT of :)

3. Yesterday was the exchange and I came home with all of these....mmmmm!

I had such a lovely evening. It was really nice to get out of the house and meet some wonderful women. Thanks again Wendy for hosting! Now the problem of having all this baking in the house already.... will I be able to resist?
So far.... not so much.

4. This weekend we bought bunk beds for the girls off Kijiji. I have been watching the listings on and off since we found out we were having another little monkey and when I saw this one we jumped on it right away! We got such a great deal which included two {practically new} mattresses. Plus, I was so excited to have found some with drawers underneath. Yippee for extra storage- the perfect place to keep their pajamas :)

5. Last night was their first night sleeping together in the same room. EeK! It went surprisingly well. They got up a few times and we could hear them talking for a few minutes, but they both quickly fell asleep and slept right until 7:30 this morning. Here's hoping the transition continues along smoothly.

6.Speaking of transitions. Let's talk some potty talk.
Remember when I announced that our youngest was now potty trained. How I celebrated? How I bragged...... well..... she is potty trained (woohoo) except that she refuses to go #2 {ahem} in the toilet. She simply goes in her underwear and then tells me after the fact. UGH! Has anyone else had to deal with this? She's completely trained otherwise. And it doesn't seem to bother her one bit to continue along this way. Help!
Signed- a mama who's tired of doing yucky laundry!

7. I just ordered my Christmas photo cards from Shutterfly. So excited to have that crossed off my list! I absolutely love them! Here's a sneak peak:
8. And in ten on tuesday tradition here's the song that's been on repeat in my brain these days :)

9. Tomorrow is Dec 1st. Ack. Can you believe it? Where oh where did November go? We're starting our cookie countdown tomorrow.... I'm SO excited!

10. Ok, enough about me...what have you been up to this week?

  1. I so enjoy your 10 on Tuesdays! Those brownie bits are beautiful! I stuck ours in the freezer (assuming they freeze...as I think you made these last year for your cookie drive & I think you said you froze them....) for a special night!

Your Christmas card is adorable, and the bunk beds/room is precious- so bright and cheery and I love that. Hang in there mama with the potty training. I was just joking to my sister that by the time I figure out my kiddos they will be all grown up and gone...and then I won't need to figure out how to parent them, haha! Geesh. Motherhood is not for sissies...eh?
I wanted to hear how your pregnancy is going...how are you feeling? I think of you and always pray for you and that precious baby- I'm so excited for you ;) truly. The best is yet to be!
